Job summary

DRA Water is seeking a qualified individual for a project-based fixed-term contract at Hartbeespoort. The role involves practical plant field work, sampling, and laboratory testing to support water treatment operations.

You will perform equipment checks, dosing refills, and routine reporting of tank levels and plant measurements while ensuring safety and policy compliance. Responsibilities include monthly equipment checklists, weekly chemical stock monitoring, and maintaining high housekeeping

Qualifications

• Maths and Science will be an advantage.
• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent registered at NQF Level 4, including relevant NATED courses (e.g., N3 Certificate)
• Tertiary qualification – advantageous

Responsibilities

• Perform plant-related field and test work.
• Conduct plant walkdowns and inspections; identify safety hazards and faulty equipment.
• Take samples and complete laboratory test work and reporting.
• Refill chemical dosing tanks and monitor dosing levels.
• Report potable water tank levels, readings and plant measurements.
• Complete monthly equipment checklists and weekly chemical stock levels.
• Ensure adherence to client policies and procedures at all times.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards on the plant.

DRA Water is looking for a qualified individual for their project based at Hartbeespoort. This position is a Project Based Fixed Term Contract.

Purpose

The purpose of this role is to perform plant related field and test work, make process adjustments in the field and conduct plant walkdowns, inspections and routines to identify any safety hazards and faulty equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Sample taking
• Equipment checks as required for operation
• Laboratory test work and reporting
• Refilling chemical dosing tanks
• Reporting on potable water tank levels all areas as well as meter readings and plant measurements.
• Complete monthly equipment checklists
• Weekly chemical stock levels
• Ensure all clients policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Ensure that good housekeeping practices on the plant are always maintained at a high level.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification registered at NQF Level 4, including relevant NATED courses (e.g., N3 Certificate)
• Maths and Science will be an advantage
• Tertiary Qualification – Advantageous

EXPERIENCE

• Must have a minimum of one (1) year operating experience on water or wastewater treatment plants or similar.
