Job summary

Staff Solutions in Cape Town is seeking a qualified Chemical Engineer to lead Production & Maintenance teams. You will drive safety compliance, financial control, HR/IR, procurement and stock management, while delivering continuous process improvements and client-ready plant reports.

The role requires 3–5 years in advanced water treatment with familiarity in RO, SWRO, UF and media filtration. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• B.Eng or BTech in Chemical Engineering; chemical engineering preferred.
• 3–5 years in advanced water treatment.
• RO, SWRO, UF, and media filtration experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage Production & Maintenance teams within the area of responsibility.
• Manage production & maintenance team utilization and performance/output.
• Ensure compliance to client safety standards and MHSA/OSHA requirements.
• Maintain administration including financial control, HR/IR, procurement and stock management.
• Implement and optimize processes for continuous improvement.
• Provide plant reports and attend client meetings as required.
• Monitor plant health and intervene to optimise availability.
• Report to Operations Manager on area performance.
