Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks a Safety/Quality professional to help implement the SHEQ policy within the local entity, ensuring adherence and continuous process improvement. The role involves collaboration with management to maintain compliance and drive safety initiatives across operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor in Safety/Quality Management, MVK certification, and relevant safety credentials, with strong English skills and the ability to address risks proactively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor diploma in Safety/Quality Management or equivalent MVK certification.
• Certified Safety Expert with demonstrated expertise in SHEQ.
• Industry-related safety certificate (e.g. VCA-VOL) or equivalent.
• Ongoing training related to high-quality job performance and SHEQ compliance.

Responsibilities

• Pro-actively assisting and supporting the Management Team of the local entity to ensure SHEQ policy is implemented and followed, and that all SHEQ processes are clear, established, applied and continuously improved.
• Identify deviations or risks, report them to the SHEQ Manager, and take proactive measures in consultation with the SHEQ Manager.

• In-depth knowledge of local / national safety and environmental laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of other relevant legislation and instructions.
• Knowledge of the risks that are involved within the nature of the work at the company.
• Knowledge of the risks involved in repetitive tasks.
• Able to perform the required administration and information supply.
• Good command of the local and English language (spoken and written)

Responsibilities:

• (Pro-)actively assisting and supporting the Management Team of the local entity to ensure that the SHEQ policy is implemented and strictly followed up on within the organisation and that all SHEQ processes, procedures and instructions are clear, established, applied and continuously improved where and when necessary.
• Perceiving deviations and/or risk of deviations, possible dangerous situations, reporting these to and taking measures pro-actively in consultation with the SHEQ Manager.
