Job summary

Sasol seeks a Safety Co-ordinator to coordinate health and safety activities, data gathering, and inspections to maintain a safe working environment at Secunda, Mpumalanga. You will integrate SHE initiatives into operations and support risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.

The role requires a relevant safety qualification, 6+ years of experience, and a valid RSA driver's license. You will coach teams, manage safety targets, and contribute to policy updates within a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
• National Diploma / B-tech in Safety Management.
• Trade Test (Wish).
• Blasting Certificate (Wish).

Responsibilities

• Monitor hazards and respond to safety risks; lead incident investigations.
• Support shutdown planning and safety audits on site.
• Participate in safety system audits (Logbook, lock-out, etc.).
• Contribute to risk assessments to identify safety issues.
• Advise on PPE selection and usage; participate in relevant forums.
• Contribute to the Safety Improvement Plan updates.
