Sasol is seeking an SHE Officer to coordinate health and safety activities, collect data, and integrate safety initiatives into operations to maintain a safe workplace in Secunda. The role emphasizes hazard identification, risk assessment support, and incident investigations.

You will drive PPE guidance, participate in safety program rollouts, and coach teams to meet safety targets while contributing to policy development and procedures revisions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in SHE
• National Senior Certificate or similar
• National Diploma / B-Tech in Safety Management
• Trade Test (Wish)
• Blasting Certificate (Wish)
• Valid RSA Drivers' License

Responsabilités

• Ensure effective delivery of targets through monitoring and responding to hazards in the workplace.
• Conduct hazard identification in the workplace and facilitate safety-related risk assessments.
• Lead incident investigations and facilitate RCAs.
• Contribute to shutdown planning and audits of Service Providers on site for compliance.
• Provide input during risk assessments to identify safety issues.
• Advise on selection and use of PPE and participate in forums.
• Roll out the Safety Improvement Plan and report updates as required.
• Coach the team and others in Safety and related practices.
• Manage personal and team targets, deadlines, and quality standards.
• Review and contribute to policies, standards and procedures.
• Identify, evaluate and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Input into new and revised safety procedures and instructions.
