Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a detail-oriented finance/Accounts Clerk to settle driver balances, reconcile daily cash and process settlements in Pietermaritzburg. The role includes capturing claims, returns, and PODs, and supporting audits and filing processes.

The candidate should have Grade 12, 2–3 years of experience, and strong MS Office and accounting system knowledge. Preference given to candidates from designated groups.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent; tertiary qualification advantageous.
• 2–3 years related experience.
• High degree of competency in MS Office packages.
• Knowledge of Accounting system.

Responsibilities

• Settle Driver balances on a daily basis and reconcile cash, credit transactions.
• Process and settle Driver settlements.
• Capture claims for drivers and Top End customers.
• Capture returns and Driver cash payments.
• Release of valid PODs and filing of PODs, claims and settlements packs.
• Run weekly and monthly reports and assist with audits.

• To settle Driver balances on daily basis and accurately reconciling and processing daily cash, credit transactions and to ensure that all sales, receipts and financial records balance and are correctly captured.
• Settling Drivers settlements.
• Capturing of all claims for drivers and Top End customers
• Capturing of returns
• Capturing Drivers Cash payments
• Releasing of Valid POD's
• Filing of POD's, Claims and Settlements packs
• Adhering to BMR, FRC & CSA audits
• Document control and related outputs.
• Compliance to company policies and procedures
• Maintain high standards of internal controls
• Ensure that Settlement queries are attended to promptly and that all documents are processed.
• Run weekly and monthly reports
• Assist with Audit request

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent. A Tertiary qualification will be an advantage
• 2 to 3 years related experience
• High degree of competency in MS Office packages
• Knowledge of Accounting system
