Job summary

Tiger Brands in Polokwane is seeking a meticulous finance assistant to settle driver balances and reconcile daily cash and credit transactions, ensuring all records balance and are accurately captured.

The role includes processing driver settlements, claims and returns, capturing driver cash payments, releasing valid PODs, and filing PODs/claims/settlements with strong internal controls and audit compliance.

Qualifications

• English literacy and mathematics literacy required.
• High degree of competency in MS Office packages.
• Knowledge of accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Settle driver balances daily and reconcile cash and credit transactions.
• Ensure sales, receipts and financial records balance and are correctly captured.
• Process and record driver settlements, claims and returns.
• Capture driver cash payments and release of valid PODs.
• File PODs, claims and settlements packs; maintain document control.
• Adhere to BMR, FRC & CSA audits and maintain internal controls.
• Attend to settlement queries promptly and process related documents.
• Assist with audit requests and compliance with company policies.

To settle Driver balances on daily basis and accurately reconciling and processing daily cash, credit transactions and to ensure that all sales, receipts and financial records balance and are correctly captured.

Settling Drivers settlements.

Capturing of all claims for drivers and Top End customers

Capturing of returns

Capturing Drivers Cash payments

Releasing of Valid POD's

Filing of POD's, Claims and Settlements packs

Adhering to BMR, FRC & CSA audits

Document control and related outputs.

Compliance to company policies and procedures

Maintain high standards of internal controls

Ensure that Settlement queries are attended to promptly and that all documents are processed.

Assist with Audit request

Grade 12 or equivalent

2 to 3 years related experience

English and Mathematics (Literacy or Pure Maths)

High degree of competency in MS Office packages

Knowledge of Accounting system
