Job summary

GEA is seeking a Service Sales Specialist for Separation and Homogenization within the Pure Flow Processing division. You will drive service sales activities, review RFQs, and coordinate with the Head of PFP Service.

You will develop and use service sales tools, identify cross-sell opportunities, travel to customers in Africa, and support with spare parts, repairs and field service. A commercial qualification with a technical background and 5 years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Commercial qualification with a technical background.
• 5 years’ experience in Separation and Homogenization equipment.
• Experience providing lifecycle services in engineering or FMCG environments.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Drive Service Sales activities for Separation and Homogenization within PFP.
• Review RFQs and clarify customer requirements.
• Prioritize initiatives with Head of PFP Service.
• Develop, implement, and utilize Service Sales tools – I-Base and CRM and other tools under development.
• Identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize revenue and improve customer experience.
• Travel to potential and existing customers to secure orders for spare parts, repairs, and field service.
• Promote smaller scale projects (upgrades/modernization).
• Assist with large project spare parts and repair orders; provide quotes and ensure timely Sale closure.
• Participate in negotiation of offers, quotations, and contracts (T&Cs).
• Be a self-starter to complete tasks timeously.
• Assist with on-site execution of services and small-scale service projects.

GEA is a global leader in the production of Centrifugal Separators and Piston Homogenizers. In the Pure Flow Processing (PFP) division within GEA, we look after the spare part supply and maintenance of all Separator, Decanter, Homogenizer, Valve and Pump equipment sold.

We are looking to strengthen our partnership with our customers by enhancing our team with a skilled Service Sales Specialist for Separation and Homogenization.

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Drive Service Sales activities for Separation and Homogenization within PFP.
• Reviewing RFQs and clarifying customer requirements.
• Prioritize initiatives through close engagement with peers & Head of PFP Service.
• Develop, implement, and utilize Service Sales tools – I-Base and CRM and other tools currently under development.
• Operate in partnership with new equipment / project sales teams to identify “up-sell” and “cross-sell” opportunities, to maximize revenue and improve overall customer experience.
• Effect sales of GEA PFP equipment services for GEA Africa; representing the company in a professional manner in the fields of spare parts, repairs and field service.
• Travel to potential and existing customers (iBase) - securing additional orders / agreements for spare parts, repairs, service projects, and field service. The customer visits shall include necessary presentations / demonstrations as required to enhance the sales opportunity and promote GEA.These visits need to be planned on CRM and minutes included.
• Actively promote smaller scale projects (Upgrades / Modernization).
• Assist with large project spare parts / repair orders – provide quotes, follow up and ensure the sale is executed in a timely manner.

• Self-starter to complete tasks in a timeous manner.

Your Profile / Qualifications

• Commercial Qualification with technical background.
• 5 years’ experience in Separation and Homogenization equipment.
• Skills in providing support for life cycle services in an Engineering or FMCG environment.
• Ms Office.
