Job summary

GEA Germany GmbH is seeking a Field Service Engineer to execute planned and unplanned After-Sales/Service activities across equipment, solutions, and service life cycles. The role emphasizes high-quality workmanship, effective communication, and building trusting relationships with customers in Africa.

You will troubleshoot equipment, perform maintenance, installation, and commissioning, support service projects, and travel across Africa to ensure customer satisfaction and contract retention.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Artisan qualification in a technical field with minimum 5 years' experience in the industry.
• Completed Health & Safety training courses.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot GEA equipment and other manufacturers' equipment.
• Perform planned and unplanned services, maintenance and repairs.
• Install and commission equipment.
• Assist in service project execution.
• Overhauling of ammonia equipment.
• Travel for business support in Africa.
• Coordinate with departments to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Prepare quotation estimates for repairs, maintenance, installation and commissioning.
• Maintain records of repairs and maintenance for future service.
