Job summary

Masa Outsourcing (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town seeks a skilled Field Service Technician with at least 3 years in the electrical field to install, service and troubleshoot electronic chemical dosing equipment at customer sites. The role requires regular travel, strong fault-finding skills and the ability to train staff on equipment.

You will carry out installations, maintenance and breakdown responses, while maintaining safety standards and producing detailed service reports for customers.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 minimum education.
• Minimum 3 years experience in the electrical field.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to carry out installations, maintenance and breakdown calls.
• Install, programme, repair and maintain electronic chemical dosing equipment.
• Work on dosing systems connected to commercial laundry machines, dishwashers, glass washers and crate washers.
• Install soap dispensers, chemical dosing systems and related equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform technical troubleshooting.
• Carry out planned maintenance and emergency call-outs.
• Visit customers regularly according to a structured call plan.
• Complete technical and service reports.
• Train customer staff on equipment and correct product use.
• Build strong relationships with key customer contacts.
• Provide prompt technical support and assistance.
• Maintain HSE standards at customer sites.
• Manage stock and conduct stock counts where required.
• Submit weekly sales / technical reports.
• Keep up to date with chemicals, dosing equipment and cleaning systems.
• Able to work independently and manage a mobile service schedule.
• Willing to provide after-hours emergency service when required.
