Job summary

West Coast Personnel is seeking a mobile field service technician to install, service and repair electronic chemical dosing equipment across multiple customer sites. The role requires electrical qualifications, a driver’s license, and the ability to travel extensively.

You will diagnose faults, carry out planned maintenance, and train customers on correct product use. The position emphasizes strong customer service, independence, and after-hours availability, with a company vehicle provided for

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required with an electrical technical qualification.
• Minimum 3 years experience in the electrical field.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willing to travel extensively to customer sites.
• Intermediate MS Office skills.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile service schedule.
• Willing to provide after-hours emergency service when required.

Responsibilities

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites to carry out installations, maintenance and breakdown calls. Install, programme, repair and maintain electronic chemical dosing equipment . Work on dosing systems connected to: Commercial laundry machines Commercial dishwashers Glass washers Crate washers Install soap dispensers, chemical dosing systems and related equipment. Diagnose faults and perform technical troubleshooting. Carry out planned maintenance and emergency call-outs. Visit customers regularly according to a structured call plan. Complete technical and service reports. Train customer staff on equipment and correct product use. Build strong relationships with key customer contacts. Provide prompt technical support and assistance. Assist customers with selecting and using the most appropriate products. Maintain HSE standards at customer sites. Manage stock and conduct stock counts where required. Submit weekly sales / technical reports. Keep up to date with chemicals, dosing equipment and cleaning systems.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12. Electrical technical qualification. Minimum 3 years experience in the electrical field . Valid drivers licence. Comfortable travelling extensively to different customer sites. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. Good technical fault-finding and troubleshooting ability. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Able to work independently and manage a mobile service schedule. Willing to provide after-hours emergency service when required.

Advantageous Experience

Experience in any of the following will be highly advantageous: Installation and maintenance of laundry dosing equipment . Programming of commercial laundry machines. Installation of commercial dishwashing machines. Installation of chemical dosing units. Maintenance and repair of industrial dishwashing equipment. Chemical dosing, commercial laundry, industrial cleaning or hygiene systems.
