Job summary

Pick n Pay in Cape Town is seeking a reliable Store Associate to support daily retail operations. You will stock and merchandise, price items, check quality and freshness, rotate stock, and assist customers with courteous service.

Commitment to accuracy, security, and following standard procedures is essential. This role involves working with customers and adhering to company policies in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Stack and store products in a safe and tidy manner.
• Merchandise products according to laid down standards.
• Correctly price random weight/loose selling items.
• Check correct pricing (labels, etc).
• Check quality, rotate stock, remove expired stock.
• Prevent wastage/shrinkage/damages.
• Check temperatures and maintain cold chain (if applicable).
• Adhere to security procedures.
• Operate and clean equipment as required.
• Assist customers and provide product/service information politely.
• Process customer orders according to procedures and service standards.
• Promote products to customers.
