Job summary
sportygroup in Cape Town is seeking an SEO Site Manager to drive day-to-day SEO across technical, on-page, off-page, and content, with a focus on South Africa and Nigeria.
You will own SEO performance across markets, collaborating with content, product, marketing and other teams to translate strategy into action and deliver measurable organic growth.
The role requires hands-on SEO delivery, familiarity with GSC/GA4, CMS, and strong analysis to improve visibility and commercial impact.
Qualifications
- Hands-on SEO across technical, on-page and off-page
- Strong content optimisation and UX understanding
- Experience with CMS platforms and SEO tools
- Ability to tie SEO activity to business outcomes
Responsibilities
- Support SEO strategy for priority markets and day-to-day execution
- Identify opportunities to drive organic growth for traditional and AI-powered search
- Manage and optimise site content via CMS with content teams and agencies
- Drive local content initiatives and measure impact on visibility, engagement, and conversion
- Support technical SEO initiatives and collaborate to implement improvements
- Contribute to off-page SEO and authority-building initiatives
- Apply CRO thinking and data insights to improve organic performance
- Monitor brand visibility across AI-powered search and adapt strategies
- Manage multiple SEO projects and deliverables on time
- Monitor and report organic performance with actionable insights
