Job summary

Network Finance invites applications for a Workshop Planner in Edenvale. You will plan, schedule and monitor all jobs in the workshop, including new machine builds, parts fabrication, repairs, refurbishment projects and assembly activities.

The role requires working closely with production teams, establishing realistic timelines and adapting to changing priorities to optimise workshop throughput and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• NQF 4 / Grade 12 or equivalent is essential.
• Maths and Science are advantageous.
• National Diploma or technical qualification would be advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years' planning/scheduling experience in heavy fabrication or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain master workshop schedules using MS Project.
• Plan multiple workloads: new machine builds, parts manufacture, repairs, refurbishment, assembly.
• Develop workflows to optimise workload across machining, fabrication and assembly.
• Establish realistic production timelines based on resources and capacity.
• Identify critical paths for complex projects and sequence activities accordingly.
• Monitor progress and adjust schedules as priorities shift.
