Job summary

Apex Group in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Workday Security Analyst to join our Workday Central Team. You will serve as the lead for securing the Workday platform, defining roles, domains and access controls, and ensuring compliance across HR processes.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of Workday security experience, strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure, with fluent English and solid collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of Workday security experience.
• Deep knowledge of Workday security domains, business processes and permissions.
• Experience with tenant management, user provisioning and security testing.
• Certification in Workday Security modules or relevant experience.
• Strong HR process understanding and Workday reporting.
• Experience conducting technology audits.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure independently; proactive and self-driven.
• Fluent English

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain Workday security roles, groups, domains and policy mappings.
• Collaborate with functional teams to determine required security groups and implementations.
• Design, configure and manage Workday restrictions.
• Manage role assignments and user access reviews for audit compliance.
• Support audits by providing evidence and adjusting security controls.
• Monitor security setups and user access for regulatory compliance (SOX, GDPR, SoD).
• Troubleshoot security issues and handle service requests promptly.
• Participate in Workday release testing and assess impact on security.
• Document governance processes and security configurations.
