Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in petroleum engineering with wellbore design experience.
• Proficiency in well planning software and core engineering principals.
• Strong understanding of drilling operations, geology and reservoir concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design well plans, including casing and cementing programs and trajectory analysis.
• Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for wellbore integrity and drilling hazards.
• Select drilling fluids, bit types and downhole tools based on geology.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with drilling supervisors and contractors to execute designs.
• Participate in post-well analysis to improve future designs.
