Placements24 seeks a Senior Completions Engineer to join the asset development team in the Soweto area. You will design, plan, and execute well completion strategies to optimize hydrocarbon production and safeguard operations.

Collaboration with drilling, reservoir, and production engineers is essential to maximize asset value. The role requires a deep understanding of downhole equipment and completion techniques, with a focus on safe, cost-effective execution and continuous improvement across

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of upstream well completions experience.
• Strong knowledge of downhole equipment and formation evaluation.
• Experience with completion design software and simulators.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer optimal well completion programs for various reservoir conditions.
• Select downhole tools, equipment and completion fluids.
• Develop detailed execution plans and procedures for completion operations.
• Supervise and provide technical support during completion activities.
• Analyze completion performance data and recommend future optimizations.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company standards.
