Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Well Completions Engineer for a hybrid role based in Polokwane. You will design, execute, and optimize well completion systems to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and maintain well integrity.

Responsibilities include development of completion programs, equipment selection, and on-site/remote technical support, with a focus on downhole technologies and intelligent completions. Strong collaboration with Drilling and Reservoir teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience in well completions in Oil & Gas.
• Knowledge of downhole equipment and completion types.
• Proficient in design software and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer well completion systems, including tubing, packers, and safety valves.
• Develop detailed completion programs and procedures aligned with objectives.
• Select completion equipment and manage vendor relationships and performance.
• Oversee completion operations and provide on-site or remote technical support.
• Analyze well performance data and optimize using artificial lift strategies.
• Ensure safety, health and environmental regulations during completion operations.
