Placements24 is assisting a dynamic Oil & Gas company in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, in searching for a Senior Well Completion Engineer. The role focuses on designing, executing, and optimizing well completion strategies to maximize hydrocarbon flow.

You will collaborate with drilling, reservoir, and production teams, lead completion design activities, and oversee on-site operations. A minimum of eight years in well completion engineering and a Petroleum Engineering degree are required;

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in well completion engineering.
• Experience with multilateral or intelligent completions desirable.
• Knowledge of completion fluids, sand control, and artificial lift.
• Proficiency with completion design software and industry tools.
• Understand reservoir characteristics and their impact on completion design.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Aufgaben

• Design and engineer well completion programs for various well types and reservoir conditions.
• Select completion equipment including liners, packers, safety valves, and subsurface control systems.
• Develop procedures for running, setting, and testing completion equipment.
• Oversee on-site completion operations and provide technical support.
• Conduct post-completion analysis to evaluate performance and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers to align completion designs with production targets.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of equipment and services.
• Prepare comprehensive completion reports including cost estimates and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
• Mentor junior completion engineers and field personnel.
