Placements24 is seeking a Senior Completions Engineer to join remotely and support projects tied to East London, SA. The role focuses on designing and implementing well completion strategies and equipment selections to optimize hydrocarbon production while maintaining wellbore integrity.

You will collaborate with reservoir engineers and operations teams, bringing extensive completions experience and strong knowledge of fluids, cementation, and artificial lift methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or closely related field.
• 7+ years of experience in well completions engineering within Oil & Gas.
• Proven experience in designing and executing various types of well completions.
• Strong knowledge of wellbore fluids, cementation techniques, and artificial lift methods.
• Familiarity with completion simulation and modeling tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop optimal well completion strategies, including casing, cementing, and artificial lift systems.
• Prepare detailed completion programs, equipment specifications, and cost estimates.
• Evaluate and select appropriate completion tools, materials, and technologies.
• Collaborate with drilling and production teams to ensure seamless execution of completion operations.
• Monitor well performance post-completion and recommend adjustments or interventions.
• Ensure all completion designs comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
