Placements24 is seeking a Senior Web3 Engineer to join a fully remote team supporting operations from Sandton. You will design, develop, and deploy decentralized applications and protocols with a focus on scalable, secure Web3 solutions.

You will mentor engineers, optimize gas usage, and collaborate with product managers, designers and other developers to ship features across multiple blockchain networks. This role also offers equity options and opportunities for continuous learning in a rapidly

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software engineering with Web3 expertise.
• Proficiency in Solidity and blockchain interactions.
• Experience with React or Vue and Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable Web3 apps and protocols.
• Write, test, deploy production-ready smart contracts.
• Integrate front-end apps with blockchain using ethers.js or web3.js.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to implement features.
• Optimize performance and gas efficiency of blockchain interactions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
