Placements24 is seeking a Senior Web3 Engineer to join a fully remote team supporting operations from Sandton. You will design, develop, and deploy decentralized applications and protocols with a focus on scalable, secure Web3 solutions.

You will mentor engineers, optimize gas usage, and collaborate with product managers, designers and other developers to ship features across multiple blockchain networks. This role also offers equity options and opportunities for continuous learning in a rapidly

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable and secure Web3 applications and protocols.
• Write, test, and deploy production-ready smart contracts on various blockchain networks.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement features.
• Optimize application performance and gas efficiency for blockchain interactions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in software engineering, with a strong specialization in Web3 development .
• Proficiency in smart contract development (e.g., Solidity) and blockchain interaction.
• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js).
• Deep understanding of blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, and decentralized finance (DeFi).
• Strong knowledge of security best practices for smart contracts and dApps.
