Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a senior Warehouse Manager to lead a state-of-the-art facility in Sandton, Gauteng. You will oversee receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing and shipping, driving efficiency and service levels.

You will manage a large team, ensure inventory accuracy with cycle counts, enforce health and safety standards, and optimise the budget. Expertise with WMS and logistics software is essential for success in this critical role.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in warehouse management in large-scale distribution.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Proficiency with WMS and logistics software.
• Budgeting and P&L responsibility for warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all warehouse operations from receiving to shipping.
• Develop strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity and cost‑effectiveness.
• Lead and develop a large team, providing guidance and performance management.
• Ensure inventory accuracy with cycle counting programs.
• Enforce health, safety, and security protocols.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, carriers and 3PLs.
• Utilize WMS and other tech to optimize operations and visibility.
• Analyze KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage the warehouse budget and financial targets.
• Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork and accountability.
