Placements24 seeks a Senior Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee a state-of-the-art facility in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The role demands strategic thinking, large-team leadership and a track record of boosting warehouse performance in high-volume environments.

You will drive inventory control, inbound/outbound processes and safety standards while collaborating with procurement and sales to optimize the supply chain and deliver superior service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in warehouse management or operations.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to manage and develop teams.
• Deep knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control and logistics best practices.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all daily warehouse operations including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance service levels.
• Lead a diverse team of warehouse staff with training, motivation and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations in the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct stock takes and audits.
• Collaborate with procurement and sales to ensure seamless supply chain integration.
• Implement and manage WMS to optimize workflow and data accuracy.
• Monitor KPIs and report on warehouse performance to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency.
