Placements24 seeks an experienced Warehouse Inventory Manager to oversee inventory operations at its Pretoria facility. You will lead stock control, cycle counting, and discrepancy resolution while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires a minimum of five years in inventory management, strong WMS experience, and the ability to manage a team.

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years in inventory management in large-scale warehousing or distribution.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
• Proven ability to lead a team of inventory specialists.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of FIFO/LIFO, JIT, ABC analysis.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in warehousing.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience in Gauteng region is a plus.

Mansioni

• Develop and implement robust inventory management policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee and manage all inventory-related activities, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain high levels of accuracy.
• Manage inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing carrying costs and preventing stockouts or overstock situations.
• Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) effectively to track inventory movements, generate reports, and ensure data integrity.
• Train and supervise inventory control staff, providing guidance on best practices and performance expectations.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, and operations teams to forecast inventory needs and coordinate stock replenishment.
• Implement and enforce safety and security procedures within the inventory storage areas.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items, including hazardous materials if applicable, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
