Placements24 in Durban is seeking a meticulous Warehouse Inventory Control Manager to lead all aspects of inventory operations in a high-volume facility. You will drive accuracy, implement robust procedures, and manage cycle counting programs to maintain inventory integrity.

The role requires a hands-on leader with strong analytical and leadership skills, experience with ERP/WMS systems, and a commitment to safety and process excellence in a busy warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in inventory control and warehouse management.
• Demonstrated expertise in inventory management techniques, cycle counting, and WMS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Implement and maintain robust inventory management systems and procedures.
• Develop and execute comprehensive cycle counting programs to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively.
• Monitor stock levels and work with planning teams to ensure optimal inventory availability and minimize stock-outs.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce inventory shrinkage and loss.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations related to inventory handling and storage.
• Train and supervise inventory control staff, promoting a culture of accuracy and accountability.
• Generate regular inventory reports and provide analysis on key metrics such as accuracy rates, turns, and obsolescence.
• Collaborate with operations and IT teams to improve inventory-related processes and system functionalities.
