Placements24 in Vereeniging is seeking a highly skilled VoIP Solutions Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise VoIP solutions. You will work with SIP, SBCs, PBX systems, and modern VoIP platforms to ensure robust communication for clients across the Gauteng region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years designing, implementing, and supporting VoIP solutions.
• Knowledge of SIP, H.323, RTP; PBX systems (Asterisk, Cisco, 3CX).
• Experience with Session Border Controllers (SBCs) and network security for VoIP.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, firewall traversal.
• Certifications (e.g., CCVP/CCM, CompTIA Network+) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust and scalable VoIP solutions tailored to client requirements, including PBX systems, call managers, and SBCs.
• Configure, deploy, and manage VoIP hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance and integration with existing IT infrastructure.
• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for VoIP systems, resolving issues related to call quality, connectivity, and features.
• Conduct site surveys and client consultations to assess needs and recommend unified communications strategies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for VoIP deployments, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Stay current with trends and advancements in VoIP and unified communications technologies.
