Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer to join the Stellenbosch team. This hybrid role involves on-site client interaction and project site visits to plan, design, and implement transportation infrastructure solutions in the region.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with at least 6 years of transportation engineering experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and VISSIM. Collaboration with planners and agencies is essential for project success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in transportation engineering.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, VISSIM or similar software.
Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles and South African regulations.

Responsibilities

Develop transportation plans including traffic studies, road design, and intersections improvements.
Create detailed designs for road networks, public transport facilities, and pedestrian infrastructure.
Conduct traffic impact analyses and mitigation strategies for developments.
Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and government agencies to integrate solutions.
Oversee implementation of transportation projects, ensuring timelines and quality.
Analyze traffic data and propose congestion and safety solutions.
