Placements24 is seeking a proactive Civil Engineer to join their transportation team in Stellenbosch. You will plan, design, and implement road infrastructure projects, including traffic management systems and related facilities, ensuring safety and mobility for the region. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with at least 7 years of road/transportation experience, and proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and VISSIM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of road/transportation experience.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD and traffic simulation tools (e.g., VISSIM).

Responsibilities

• Design road alignments, intersections, pavement structures, and drainage systems.
• Develop traffic management plans and conduct traffic impact studies.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for road projects.
• Ensure designs comply with national and provincial road design standards and guidelines.
• Coordinate with land surveyors, utility companies, and environmental consultants.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to design and quality requirements.
