Job summary

Placements24 invites applications for a Senior Tennis Coach to lead our tennis academy in Port Elizabeth. You will design training plans for players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to competitive juniors, and foster a positive, challenging learning environment.

The ideal candidate has PTR/USPTA or equivalent certification, at least 5 years coaching experience, deep knowledge of technique and strategy, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Coaching certification or equivalent professional playing experience.
• Minimum of 5 years coaching with junior development and competitive play.
• Strong knowledge of tennis technique, strategy, and modern training methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver structured tennis coaching programs for individuals and groups.
• Provide technical and tactical instruction focusing on stroke development and strategy.
• Organize internal and external tournaments and competitions.
• Identify talented players and create individualized development plans.
• Mentor junior coaches and engage with members to build a strong tennis community.
• Promote the club's tennis programs and maintain high coaching standards.
