Job summary

Placements24 invites applications for a Senior Tennis Coach to lead our tennis academy in Port Elizabeth. You will design training plans for players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to competitive juniors, and foster a positive, challenging learning environment.

The ideal candidate has PTR/USPTA or equivalent certification, at least 5 years coaching experience, deep knowledge of technique and strategy, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Coaching certification or equivalent professional playing experience.
• Minimum of 5 years coaching with junior development and competitive play.
• Strong knowledge of tennis technique, strategy, and modern training methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver structured tennis coaching programs for individuals and groups.
• Provide expert technical and tactical instruction to players, focusing on stroke development, strategy, and mental game.
• Organize and manage internal and external tournaments and competitions.
• Identify talented players and implement individualized development plans to support their progression.
• Mentor junior coaches and assistant staff, ensuring high standards of coaching delivery.

Requirements

• Recognized coaching certification (e.g., PTR, USPTA) or equivalent professional playing experience.
