Job summary
Placements24 seeks a visionary Senior Telecoms Solutions Architect to lead design and evolution of telecommunications infrastructure in a remote-friendly role across South Africa. You will translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-efficient architectures, spanning 5G core, IMS, IP networking, cloud-native networks and SDN/NFV.

Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in CS/EE or related field
- 10+ years in telecommunications network design and architecture
- Strong knowledge of 5G core, LTE, IMS, IP networking, cloud and virtualization
- Proven ability to architect multi-technology solutions
- Experience with SDN/NFV, automation and orchestration is desirable
- Excellent presentation and remote communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end technical solutions aligned with business goals
- Create architectural blueprints, high-level designs and specs
- Evaluate new technologies and vendor solutions
- Lead technical discussions with product, engineering and operations
- Guide scaling, security, reliability, and cost optimization
- Mentor junior architects and engineers in a remote setting
