Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecoms Solutions Architect to join our fully remote team serving clients across South Africa. You will design robust telecom solutions, translate business needs into technical blueprints, and shape roadmaps with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in telecommunications, deep knowledge of 5G, fiber, cloud networking, and IoT, plus strong communication with C-level executives. Certification like TOGAF or CCIE highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in telecommunications with solution architecture focus.
• Deep understanding of network technologies including 5G, fiber optics, cloud networking, and IoT.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder skills for engaging C-level executives.
• TOGAF and CCIE certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end telecommunications solutions including network infrastructure, services and applications.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and vendor solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering and project management teams for delivery.
• Develop technical proposals, presentations and client documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineering staff.
