Placements24 is seeking a strategic Telecoms Solutions Architect in Durban to lead design and implementation of next‑generation telecom solutions. You will work with sales, engineering and product teams to craft scalable architectures aligning with client needs and market trends.

The role requires deep knowledge of 5G, LTE, SDN/NFV, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and IP networking, with a track record of delivering complex projects and mentoring teams.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in telecom network design and architecture.
• Proven ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior management.
• Experience with project lifecycle management and solution validation.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end telecom solutions encompassing voice, data, and cloud services.
• Develop technical proposals and architecture diagrams for client engagements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for adoption.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, and cost-effective.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams.
