Placements24 seeks a Senior Telecommunications Technician for Upington, Northern Cape to install, maintain, and repair complex telecom systems. You will diagnose faults, manage fiber optic networks, and support wireless infrastructure while ensuring safety, quality, and reliability.

A strong field presence and leadership for junior techs are essential. The role requires at least 5 years in a senior telecom position, a relevant diploma, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Telecommunications Technician, with a senior track record.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optic technologies, including installation, splicing and testing.
• Experience with wireless systems, cellular networks and related equipment.
• Proficiency with electronic testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Based in Upington or willing to relocate.
