Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Project Manager to oversee critical infrastructure projects in the Klerksdorp, North West region. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure delivery of complex telecom deployments.

The role requires 8–10 years in telecom project management, expertise in fibre, 4G/5G, and strong stakeholder engagement. A bachelor's in engineering or related field is expected; PMP or similar certification is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or related field.
Master's degree or PMP certification is advantageous.
8–10 years of project management experience in telecommunications infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, execution, and completion of telecom projects on time, within scope and budget.
Define objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria with management and stakeholders.
Develop project plans with timelines, resources, risk management, and communication plans.
Manage budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures.
Coordinate internal resources, vendors, and contractors to foster performance.
Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure adherence to quality, regulatory requirements and company policies.
Communicate status, milestones, and issues to stakeholders including executives.
Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
