Placements24 seeks a Principal Solutions Architect (Telecoms) to design and oversee end-to-end telecom solutions for major enterprise clients in Sandton, Gauteng. You will guide architecture for 5G, IoT, cloud integration, and enterprise networking, while leading client engagements and proposals.

The role requires a deep telecom background, 10+ years in architecting complex solutions, and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in telecommunications with a focus on solutions architecture and design.
• Deep expertise in mobile network technologies (4G/5G), IP networking, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end telecommunications solutions for enterprise clients, including 5G, SD-WAN, cloud, IoT, UC.
• Lead technical discussions with clients and translate business needs into architectural designs.
• Develop high-level and detailed architectures, roadmaps, and proposals.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and sales to ensure solution viability.
• Provide technical leadership to project teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Evaluate new technologies and vendor solutions to enhance offerings.
• Conduct PoC initiatives to validate designs.
