Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Telecom Solutions Architect in Soweto, Gauteng to guide technical direction for telecoms services and infrastructure. You will architect scalable, reliable solutions, influencing product and platform choices with business value in mind.

The role requires deep telecoms knowledge, strategic thinking, and proven leadership to drive architectural decisions across mobile, fixed-line, and converged services. Based in a collaborative Soweto team.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of progressive telecom systems design and architecture experience.
In-depth knowledge of 3G, 4G, 5G, LTE, IMS, VoIP, SD-WAN and CNFs.
Experience leading complex technology projects and architectural decisions.
Strong understanding of telecoms business models, market trends and regulatory landscapes.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain architectural blueprints for networks and services.
Lead end-to-end design of mobile, fixed-line and converged telecom solutions.
Evaluate technologies and platforms to meet objectives and requirements.
Collaborate with product management, engineering and operations for implementation.
Provide technical leadership to project teams during architecture and design.
Conduct feasibility studies, performance analyses and cost-benefit assessments.
Mentor junior architects and engineers to foster technical excellence.
Represent the company's technical vision to stakeholders and partners.
Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, best practices and regulatory requirements.
