Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Solutions Architect to design and deliver cutting-edge telecom solutions for enterprise clients in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. The role bridges business needs and technical implementation, leveraging networking, cloud, UC, IoT, and cybersecurity.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in solution architecture within telecoms, excellent communication, and the ability to lead and mentor project teams in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, telecoms, or related field; master's preferred.
• 7+ years in solution architecture or related telecoms roles.
• Deep knowledge of IP networking, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), VoIP, 4G/5G, and cybersecurity.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience designing scalable, secure enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements for telecom solutions.
• Design end-to-end solutions including network infrastructure, cloud integration, UC, IoT, and cybersecurity.
• Develop high-level and detailed architecture designs, proposals, and docs.
• Collaborate with sales to present solutions, articulating technical value.
• Work with engineering and delivery teams to ensure deployment of designed solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies and trends to identify innovative opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to design teams.
• Conduct feasibility studies and proofs-of-concept implementations.
• Ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory compliance.
