• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and sales to ensure solution viability.
• Provide technical leadership to project teams throughout the lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive end-to-end telecommunications solutions for enterprise clients, incorporating various technologies (e.g., 5G, SD-WAN, cloud, IoT, unified communications).
• Lead technical discussions with clients, understanding their business challenges and translating them into robust architectural designs.
• Develop and present high-level and detailed technical architectures, roadmaps, and proposals.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and sales teams to ensure solution viability and alignment with business goals.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and vendor solutions to enhance service offerings.
• Conduct proof-of-concept initiatives and pilot projects to validate architectural designs.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-effective.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings in the telecommunications sector.
• Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader within the organization and with clients.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in telecommunications, with a significant focus on solutions architecture and design.
• Deep expertise in mobile network technologies (4G/5G), IP networking, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering complex solutions for large enterprises.
• Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and protocols.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and solve complex technical problems.
• Experience with pre-sales technical support and solution selling is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the South African market and regulatory environment is a plus.
• Ability to travel as required for client engagements.
