Placements24 in George, Western Cape, is seeking a visionary Remote Telecom Solutions Architect to design end-to-end telecom solutions. This fully remote role requires strategic thinking and deep expertise in 5G, fiber, IoT, and cloud-based infrastructure, with collaboration across distributed teams.

You will define technical roadmaps, evaluate new technologies, and ensure scalable, secure, cost-effective systems while mentoring technical teams.

Qualifications

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in telecommunications architecture and design.
Deep knowledge of telecom technologies such as LTE, 5G, SDN/NFV, VoIP, and optical networking.

Responsibilities

Architect end-to-end telecommunications solutions, encompassing voice, data, and mobile technologies.
Develop detailed technical designs and specifications for network infrastructure, platforms, and services.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and vendor solutions to enhance our service offerings.
Collaborate with product management, engineering, and sales teams to define solution requirements and translate them into actionable designs.
Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical leadership on complex projects.
Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective.
Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation.
Mentor and guide technical teams on architectural best practices.
