Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Telecommunications Software Developer to design, develop, and deploy robust software powering modern communication networks. This fully remote role requires strong background in telecom protocols and system architecture, with a passion for scalable code and proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with telecommunications systems.
• Strong programming skills in C++, Java, Python, or Go.
• Solid understanding of SIP, H.323, SS7, Diameter, and TCP/IP.
• Experience with network programming, multithreading, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and remote-team collaboration abilities.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality software on time.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software for telecommunications applications including network management systems, signaling gateways, and VoIP platforms.
• Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code in C++, Java, Python, or Go.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues across environments.
• Contribute to architectural design of new systems and features.
