Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Software Engineer to join their fully remote engineering team. You will design, develop, test, and deploy software for global telecom infrastructure, mentoring juniors from your home office.

You will work in C++, Java, or Python, collaborate with product managers and architects, optimize performance, and contribute to scalable, reliable platforms in a distributed, agile environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in CS, SE, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software development in telecom sector.
• Expertise in object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Strong experience with distributed systems, real-time processing, and network protocols relevant to telecommunications.
• Proficiency with development tools, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote, agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software for telecommunications applications, including signaling, routing, and management systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define software requirements and technical specifications.
• Optimize software performance, identify and resolve complex bugs, and ensure system reliability in production environments.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Contribute to the architectural design and evolution of our software platforms, focusing on scalability and maintainability.
