Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Telecom Software Developer to join their fully remote engineering team based in Benoni. You will design, code, test, and deploy complex telecom software solutions, leading critical projects and shaping architectural decisions in a remote-first environment.

The successful candidate will bring 8+ years of telecom software experience, proficiency in C++, Java, Python, or Go, and strong cloud-native / microservices skills with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience in telecom.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, or Go.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native development, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with telecom protocols, network programming, and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications for telecommunications platforms.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code following best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to define software requirements and architecture.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team’s technical growth and knowledge sharing.
