Placements24 seeks a seasoned Senior Telecom Infrastructure Engineer to lead critical projects from our Randburg facility. You will design, implement, and manage the core telecommunications network, ensuring high availability and scalability.

The ideal candidate has over 10 years in telecom infrastructure, deep expertise in BGP/OSPF, MPLS and security, plus strong leadership to mentor juniors and drive the technology roadmap.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is required.
• 10+ years of progressive telecom infrastructure engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS and network security.
• Proven experience with large-scale network design and implementation.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement scalable telecommunications network infrastructure.
• Oversee deployment and configuration of core network hardware and software.
• Develop and maintain the network technology roadmap and evaluate new solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Lead troubleshooting for complex network issues and ensure rapid resolution.
