Placements24 seeks a Senior Telecoms Infrastructure Engineer to lead critical network projects in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will architect scalable telecom solutions, oversee deployments, and guide teams to ensure reliability.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a related field with 10+ years of telecom experience, deep knowledge of routing, switching, optical transport, virtualization, and cloud data centers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in telecom infrastructure engineering.
• Expertise in network architecture, routing, switching, and optical transport.
• Proven experience with large-scale network deployments and project management.
• Strong understanding of virtualization, cloud technologies, and data center infrastructure.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and resilient telecom infrastructure solutions.
• Oversee the deployment and integration of new network hardware and software.
• Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning for critical infrastructure components.
• Develop and enforce technical standards and best practices for infrastructure management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
