Job summary

Placements24 in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, seeks a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex software delivery. You will drive planning, execution, and governance across cross-functional teams, balancing scope, schedule and budget while upholding high technical standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong software development background, 7+ years in combined software delivery and PM roles, and hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira/Confluence, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years in software development and project management, with at least 3 years in a technical lead/management role.
• Proven experience with full SDLC in an Agile/Scrum environment; strong coding principles and patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of software projects using Agile methodologies.
• Manage scope, timelines, budgets and resources; ensure quality releases.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, product managers and stakeholders.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Communicate status, risks and issues to senior management and clients.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure deliverables meet requirements.
