Job summary

Tumaini Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor for a leading meat manufacturing company in Cullinan, Gauteng, to oversee the end-to-end production of beef and lamb, ensure quality standards, hit production targets, optimize yield, and meet customer requirements.

You will lead and train production staff, supervise cutting, spicing, mixing, filling, deboning, packing and labeling, and uphold hygiene, food safety and SHEQ compliance.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ operational meat cutting experience, specifically with beef and lamb.
• 3–5 years’ supervisory experience within a meat production environment.
• Master Meat Cutting Certificate would be advantageous.
• Experience overseeing meat production processes, including cutting, spicing, mixing, filling, drying, deboning, trimming, packing, and labelling.
• Strong knowledge of yield management, stock control, and production planning.
• Experience managing and training production staff.
• Sound understanding of quality assurance, hygiene, food safety, and SHEQ standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end meat production process to meet quality standards and production targets.
• Lead and train production staff to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Facility management of cutting, spicing, mixing, filling, drying, deboning, trimming, packing and labeling processes.
• Maintain strict hygiene, food safety and SHEQ compliance and drive yield optimization.
