Placements24 is seeking a Senior Subsurface Engineer to lead integrated analysis of geological, reservoir, and production data near Klerksdorp, South Africa. The role drives asset optimization, evaluates development opportunities, and informs strategic decisions in the Oil & Gas sector.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and requires a Master’s degree with 7+ years of subsurface experience, including reservoir simulation and economic modeling.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geophysics, or related subsurface discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in subsurface evaluation and asset development in Oil & Gas.
• Strong proficiency in reservoir simulation, well performance analysis, and economic modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Integrate geological, geophysical, and engineering data to build subsurface models.
• Evaluate field development, EOR, and production optimization strategies.
• Perform economic evaluations and uncertainty analyses for subsurface scenarios.
• Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and operations teams.
• Develop technical justifications and business cases for CAPEX proposals.
• Mentor junior subsurface engineers and contribute to standards and best practices.
