Placements24 in Bloemfontein seeks a Subsurface Analyst to join its integrated asset team. You will integrate geological, geophysical, and engineering data to provide subsurface insights for field development planning and production optimization.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will analyze data, refine subsurface models, and contribute to risk assessments to support decision making in the Free State region. A strong analytical background and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, or related quantitative field (min 4 years preferred).
• 4+ years of subsurface analysis experience in oil and gas.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools; experience with modeling software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Integrate subsurface data (geology, geophysics, wells, production) into cohesive models.
• Develop/refine subsurface models for exploration and development projects.
• Analyze production data and trends to identify optimization opportunities.
• Contribute to uncertainty and risk assessments for subsurface evaluations.
• Prepare technical summaries and visualizations of subsurface interpretations.
• Support asset teams in field management and development decisions.
